Thursday 27th of September

On Thursday, we had Thomas Kaufmann (CISO Schindler) in the morning, talking about cybersecurity. After a short break, Karen Jones continued with the second part of the Insights Discovery Assessment, helping us understand our own preferences to enhance our impact on others.

After the lunch break, participants were given a task to work in groups on the challenges they face at their companies.

Later, we had an outdoor activity (a parkour around Hotel Saratz and Val Roseg), followed by a fondue outside at the Strauss Pavilion, closing a long and eventful day!

Update IT Academy

Dear Reader,

On the 24th of September, we had the pleasure of attending and participating in the workshop led by Professor Dimitris Karagiannis, Iulia Vaidian, and Wilfrid Utz on Digital Business Models. The participants were challenged to work in groups throughout the afternoon and later present their conclusions in a short presentation.

Afterwards, we enjoyed a well-deserved barbecue at the hotel, followed by the CIO Roundtable, where Prof. Karagiannis (University of Vienna), Khushnud Irani (Former CIO of Holcim), Thomas Candrian (CIO Hamilton), Juha Tuominen (CIO Normet), and Lucas Kuttler (Former CIO of Schindler & Lonza) answered questions about life, career paths, and workplace challenges in a cozy environment, accompanied by a glass of wine.

IT Academy 2024 has begun!

Dear Reader, 

Our event started on Sunday evening the 24th of September at the Hotel Saratz. There are 21 participants attending from 11 nationalities and 15 companies.

So far, we’ve had a very interesting speech by Karen Jones this morning titled “Using the Insights Discovery Assessment to Understand Our Own Preferences in Order to Enhance Your Impact with Others.” Afterwards, we visited the Seilpark next to the hotel and launched the participants into their first challenge of group work and skills while climbing through the trees of Pontresina.

CIO Roundtable in Zurich

We hosted the IT Academy CIO Roundtable on the 4th of June at Kaufleuten in Zürich. There was an interesting exchange among the members and board members on various topics ranging from AI to employee motivation. After approximately 90 minutes of discussion, we had an aperitif and dinner at Kaufleuten, continuing with engaging conversations.
