IT Academy Week 2025 Closing
As IT Academy Week 2025 comes to an end, we look back on two final days filled with knowledge, collaboration, and memorable experiences.
On Thursday, Markus Bierl, CIO of Franke, opened the day with valuable reflections on the mindset and leadership qualities required of a CIO. Juergen Peukertürgen Peukert and Alperen Can from the Negotiation Advisory Board then returned for the second part of their program, challenging participants with a hands-on case study. This was followed by an engaging AI Panel with Lucas F. Kuttler Kuttler (ex-CIO, Lonza), Igor Balashov from Microsoft, and Urs Haeusler Häusler from Salesforce, offering diverse perspectives on the latest developments in AI.
In the afternoon, Monica Howden from Sika offered new perspectives on personality assessments, before the group headed outdoors for a special event: a scavenger hunt through the hotel grounds and the breathtaking Val Roseg, rounded off with a traditional Swiss mountain fondue at the Strauss Pavillon.
The final day on Friday brought a strong focus on finance and leadership. Bornhaeusser Michael, Chairman of Bulb Capital AG, shared his views on the future of IT skills, while Marc E. Possa, Managing Partner at VV Vermögensverwaltung AG, provided insights into investing against the backdrop of today’s political landscape. Ludger J. Schwinn, Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry, inspired the audience with his talk on unlocking personal potential, followed by Roland Sauser, who explored IT systems in M&A processes and the disruptive potential of AI.
The week concluded with a distinguished closing panel moderated by Daniel Hanimann, Delegate of the Swiss National Bank, featuring Ludger J. Schwinn Schwinn, Corsin Camichel (former Swiss hockey player & coach), Bornhaeusser Michael, Marc E. Possa, and Roland Sauser. The discussion reflected on the current political situation, personal mindset and beliefs, and concluded with an open Q&A session with the participants.
