ITA Week 2026 Wrap Up
The final two days of IT Academy Week 2026 in Pontresina brought together business value, people, leadership, investment perspectives and a broader view of the world around us.
Thursday started with Khushnud Irani and an inspiring and real-life experiences on IT Service Value Determination, exploring how IT leaders and their teams should get away from herd mentality and lost in multitude of KPIs, but focus on their own ‚Context‘ to deliver true value to their business!
The focus then shifted to people with Monica Howden and HR Matters, looking at the human side of leadership and the challenges that come with leading teams in today’s environment.
After an intensive few days of learning, the afternoon took us outside for a special outdoor activity – a great opportunity to strengthen connections and teamwork beyond the sessions.
🫕 We finished Thursday in true Swiss style with a Fondue Dinner at the Strauss Pavillon, together with our guests – a perfect setting to continue the conversations in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Friday marked the final day of IT Academy Week 2026.
Ludger J. Schwinn opened the final day with “Fully Leverage Your Potential”, highlighting the importance of visibility, networking and preparing for future leadership roles. Bornhaeusser Michael followed with a session on AI leadership, exploring how AI can create real business value and the emerging role of the Chief AI Officer (CAIO).
Ronald Sauser then shared insights from 45 years in investment banking, looking at M&A from the other side of the transaction. He showed how IT, technology risks and a company’s readiness can directly influence due diligence, valuation and ultimately the outcome of a deal.
Marc E. Possa followed with “Investors’ Considerations”, adding another perspective on how investors assess businesses and strategic decisions.
🌍 We closed our content sessions with an inspiring Geopolitical Roundtable moderated by Daniel Hanimann.
The discussion reflected on the current geopolitical and economic situation around the world, where we stand today and what the coming years may bring. Together, we explored the challenges and uncertainties leaders will need to navigate – and what these developments could mean for businesses, technology and leadership in the years ahead.
🎓 Finally, it was time to wrap up the week, hand over the certificates and bring five intensive days of learning, exchange and new connections in Pontresina to a close.
A huge thank you to all our speakers, guests and participants for the energy, openness and great discussions throughout IT Academy Week 2026.
It has been an inspiring week – and we are already looking forward to the next one.
🏔️ Until next year, Pontresina!
