IT Academy 2009
During the second week of October 2009, IT managers/directors from all over the world joined with participants from Schindler, Omya, IBM, HP, Hilti, Sprüngli Confiserie, Clariant, Franke and GNT to attend the first IT Academy in Locarno, Switzerland.
A total of 25 participants of 15 different nationalities attended this special IT management education which was founded by the CIOs Lucas Kuttler, Schindler and Martin Studer, Omya out of a need to offer IT managers hands-on, participative management education and to encourage know-how transfer across companies in a “secured” environment.
The topics of the training were: Business Intelligence, Business Strategy vs. IT Strategy, Business Process Redesign, Infrastructure, IT Architecture, Project Management, Information Security, Financials for IT Managers, Economic Outlook, People Management and two practical case studies in infrastructure and application.
The feedback rating was very encouraging. The transferability of the knowledge, the value of the newly built relationships and last but not least the fun factor were highly regarded.
